Meet Our Co-Owner, Consultant Theresa Giunta!

April 26, 2018

The next two weeks we’re spending time on our blog introducing ourselves a bit more. If you’ve been following along over the past year, you’ve learned a lot about the information we have to offer, but not as much about who we are and why we do what we do.

So, sit back and learn about the Summit Consultants!

Today’s Summit Spotlight: Theresa Giunta

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

  1. Energetic

  2. Compassionate

  3. Adaptable

What are 2 things only your friends and family know about you?

  1. I LOVE to dance. There are only rare occurrence there isn’t music on that I like to jump around to. I may not be the best, but put on a great tune and I’ll be pulling ya on the dance floor!

  2. I come from a big Italian family (half anyway). Which means my second and third (and fourth) cousins are treated like my first. With that said, being Italian calls for a hefty appetite, and I like to eat! While I prefer a delicious sugary treat, like a cannoli or gelato, the best comfort food is walking into my parent’s house that smells like homemade pasta and gravy.

What’s the best part about working with high performers?

Their energy and passion. Working with a high performer, you know they want to strive to be their best always. And to be a high performer, it takes GRIT, commitment and passion. In sport, situations and experiences are constantly changing, which makes me stay on my toes and constantly being creative with my approach to mental awareness. They are intense, emotional, exciting and dynamic. That means my job is different day to day and I get to be immersed in environment where individuals are always striving to be their best.

If you absolutely could not be a mental performance consultant, what would you be?

I would like to do something that would let me travel the world. That way, I am always discovering new things, ideas, cultures and I get to be outside and hopefully discover some new beaches.  As I think about it, being a travel agent could really have its perks.

What would you say to an athlete who is on the fence about working with you?

I’d say, let’s do this! I work with you to identify your needs to help you reach your potential! You come up with the ideas, and I help you put those ideas into a more structured action plan. Everyone is different, and that’s the fun of working with me- is you get a personalized plan. We get to learn about each other and develop some goals, trust and probably some laughs along the way. Dive in and lets get started!
